Belly Bars

Belly Jewellery

The default size for belly bars is 10 mm length and 1.6 mm thickness, which should be suitable for most belly button piercings. However, if you’re not sure what size you need. You can measure the one you’re currently wearing. You can use the previous image to see how the belly bar sizes are measured.

Belly Jewellery Sizes

It can also be quite common to want a different length for your belly piercing. The most common alternative lengths are 8 mm or 11 mm. We also have belly bars in 6 mm and 12 mm. On the next image you can compare these sizes together as well as with a regular 10 mm bar.

The thickness of belly bars is almost always 1.6 mm. However, some people prefer a 1.2 mm belly bar. Be careful when switching from 1.6 mm to 1.2 mm, as your belly button piercing might heal back to 1.2 mm, making your 1.6 mm useless to you unless pierced again. It is only recommended to do this if you know what you are doing.

We also have a selection of belly bars that comes with an interchangeable bar. If you wish to change the bar on your belly button piercing for a different length, or upgrade to a nickel-free titanium bar, you can find the loose parts in the accessories section.

Belly Jewellery Aftercare

Choosing the right aftercare can be just as important as choosing the right piercing itself.

Daily application of aftercare is advised for your belly piercing. For day-to-day care, a simple salt spray solution or piercing oil solution will help the healing process. If you suffer from minor irritations, you should use a product with tea tree oil in it. Our highly concentrated tea tree and almond oils are especially suitable for this.

You should also take a look at our piercing butters and balms for daily care and to avoid future irritations and infections.
